I have been a woodturner for 32 years, focusing on more sculptural forms and combining wood with other media. Much of my work is suspended rather than footed, giving the pieces a more delicate look. This direction provides an expanded vocabulary of form and space for my series of vessels.
To create is to touch the spirit and no medium takes one closer to the earth than wood. From harvesting to sculpting, wood challenges my creativity to reveal the unique beauty of each piece.
In 1995, I founded Open Studios Fall Artist Tour in Boulder, CO, where artists open their personal studios over the first two weekends of October. I’ve also had articles published in American Woodturner, Fine Woodworking, and Better Homes & Gardens WOOD magazines.
Thank you for your interest in this work. Enjoy viewing the gallery of pieces available.
